I was born and raised in Rexburg, Idaho. I've always had a passion for and helping people see how the latest technologies can benifit them in every aspect of their personal and professional life.
I began volunteering at my district's IT department as a senior in high school. That summer I was able to join their team and work there full-time after graduation. I learned so many things and truly loved working there. I worked for one year, before serving a mission for my church.
My mission was a excellent experience, I was able to devote my time and talents to blessing the people in the Central Valley of California for two years. During this time, I was assigned to serve as a technology specialist for the mission. I provided training and support to a mission of over 100 people with device issues, including iOS, Android, Windows & macOS laptops, and managed carrier lines.
Since my mission, I've been working at the district again, with my main responsibility being the transition of our district's network infastructure to Juniper's Mist platform.
Since then, I've begin programming a calandar App known as "BetterCal." It represents the future of daily scheduling and planning.
What sets it apart? Location pins attached to events, the ability to attach contacts to events & tasks and see an event history on each one, as well as a clean, modern UI.
Reports and timlines for each contact, as well as simple custom pins on the map are all noteworthy features. It presently is on Apple's TestFlight.
I've implemented Sign in with Google Integration, which allows users to sync with their existing Google account.
